Hi Jane,
I hate to do this to you, but I have to bow out of the karaoke party. I was really
looking forward to it and I am really disappointed that I can't come. However, a long
lost relative is coming to visit and has asked to stay with me. I would love to just
say no to them but my parents would never forgive me. So, I have to do the right thing
and stay home and take care of the relatives. Perhaps we can arrange another karaoke
party soon.
I hope I haven't inconvenienced you too much.
