Modern technology has made it possible to have virtual face to face meetings over the Internet. These online meetings have some clear advantages over face to face meetings when it comes to cost, employee development and convenience. I believe that online meetings are the future of business.
First, online meetings are cost effective. By having more online meetings, companies can save a substantial amount of money. Regular online meetings between head office and far away factories will reduce the need for employees or managers to visit other places. The cost of online meetings is limited to the price of a good an Internet connection and a few computers.
Second, online meetings can be recorded very easily. Having an archive of every meeting can be very helpful when it comes to employee development. Employees can be evaluated based on their performance in meetings. The recordings of meetings would also make useful training tools.
Finally, online meetings are very convenient. Even with the time differences around the word, meetings can be arrange very quickly. Also, video conferences make it possible to have meetings with several people at once. Presentations can be given and documents can be exchanged. Online meetings have become virtual face to face meetings.
In conclusion, I believe that online meetings are the future of business meetings. These virtual face to face meetings reduce costs and help improve employee development. They are more convenient than face to face meetings and fit better in the new high tech world.
