When I first heard about the Sky Tree I didn't think much of it. I didn't see any reason to get excited about a glorified broadcast tower. As it was being built, I passed it just about everyday on my way to work. As time went by, more and more people would glance up at it as we passed by on the train. It became part of the commute for thousands of people. I have to say, I started to get excited about seeing it when it was finished. Now that it is, it is rather impressive. Although I don't think I'll be rushing to visit it any time soon, I do think it will become an international symbol for Tokyo, or maybe even Japan someday. I've already heard people calling it the 'Eiffel Tower' of Tokyo.
