Last weekend, my wife and I decided to go for a drive in the mountains to see if the leaves were changing color. The drive was a bit of a challenge because our navigation system refused to work properly. Of course, we got lost and ended up at the gates of an old run down mansion. It looked a little scary, but I decided to knock on the door and ask whoever lived there for directions. I knocked but no one answered. I noticed the door was ajar and glanced inside. Just then we heard a loud thump. My wife grabbed me by the arm and dragged me back to the car. We jumped in and sped off without looking back. I don't know if the place was actually haunted, but the whole experience was unbelievably frightening.
