Hi Jim,

Thanks for the information about your place. It sounds great. I'll definitely try your pub once or twice. As for my place, it might be a bit smaller than you are used to. It has everything you need to be comfortable, it's just a little cramped. The neighborhood itself is great. There's a fairly decent grocery store just up the street that has all the basics. There are a few restaurants and drinking places on the main drag to the station. For drinking, My favorite drinking place is Murasaki. It's an izakaya (a kind of Japanese style pub) with decent food and relatively cheap beer. The people who run the place are quite friendly as well. As for getting around, you can use my bike to get around in the neighborhood. There is actually a pretty nice path that goes along the river for a few kilometers. If you want to go into the city, the train station is about a ten minute walk from the house.
