The World's Fastest Indian is based on the true story of Burt Munro, an eccentric New Zealander who builds an Indian motorcycle and eventually breaks the world land-speed record in 1967. Sir Anthony Hopkins plays Burt Munro as a lovable old man and you find yourself rooting for him from the first scene. Roger Donaldson's unintrusive direction puts the inspiring story front and center. Although somewhat predictable at times, you want to be there with Burt and cheer him on. The World's fastest Indian is a wonderful salute to the power of determination.
