Bourdain is a classically trained French chef working at the famous "Brasserie Les Halles" in New York City and his book takes you with him around the world in search of 'the perfect meal'. What makes this book so great is Bourdain's passion for food. His street- smart, in-your-face writing let you see the sights, meet the people, and taste the food. You are there with him, drinking fresh snake blood in Vietnam, eating a whole pig in Portugal, and choking down iguana in Mexico. Food has never been this exciting.
